Looking for a relaxed and enjoyable day out in great company? Join us on a 7-mile private walking tour of Hadrian’s Wall. Designed to offer a memorable experience, each tour is tailored to your pace and interests. Whether you’re into Roman history, Border Reivers, nature, geology or simply love exploring the outdoors, this tour is crafted to be engaging and fun. You’ll pass iconic Roman sites like Vindolanda, Chesterholme Roman milestone, Housesteads, and Sycamore Gap, with breathtaking views and local wildlife along the way. As local guides, we bring a wealth of knowledge and a friendly approach, ensuring the tour is not only informative but also inclusive and fun. Our circular tour lasts about 4 hours, with a comfort break at Housesteads (nice portaloos, benches with views, and a museum shop with drinks and snacks). We offer a lower route option to accommodate different fitness levels, so whether you're 18 or 80, you’ll feel at ease and enjoy the experience. We'll capture the special moments with photos, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the spectacular Northumberland countryside. You’ll finish the tour with the rare chance to hold a genuine Roman artefact, bringing history to life, and receive a bespoke memento of your day.
Cancellation Policy
BOOKING CONFIRMATION: Once your booking is complete, you will receive a confirmation email. OUR TOURS: Our tours are crafted to be accessible and enjoyable for most participants. Walking poles are available upon request, and we include regular breaks during the tour. If you have concerns about the tour's suitability or need accommodations, please contact us, and we’ll do our best to assist. Tip: Read tour descriptions carefully, and feel free to reach out with any questions about suitability or accessibility. GUEST-INITIATED CANCELLATION AND CHANGES POLICY: Cancellations made up to 7 days before the tour date are eligible for a full refund. RESCHEDULE: After 7 days, you can reschedule your tour up to 72 hours before the tour date without any additional fees. CURIUS COMPASS-INITIATED CHANGES: In the event we need to modify or cancel your tour due to unforeseen circumstances, you will have the option to: A) Reschedule for a future date at no additional cost or B) Receive a full refund. FORCE MAJEURE POLICY: Should severe weather, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events prevent the tour from proceeding, guests will receive: A) A full refund or B) An option to reschedule without additional charges. NO-SHOW POLICY: Refunds or rescheduling cannot be offered for no-shows or cancellations with 72 hours. Please ensure you arrive on time at the designated meeting location.
